MetCredit is committed to conducting business responsibly and with respect for human rights. We do not tolerate forced labour, child labour, or human trafficking in any part of our operations or supply chain.
Our Commitment
All work associated with MetCredit must be voluntary and performed under lawful, fair, and safe conditions. We are committed to operating in a manner that respects internationally recognized human rights standards and complies with applicable Canadian laws.
Child Labour
MetCredit does not employ individuals below the minimum legal working age. Where young workers are legally employed by our suppliers or partners, we expect work conditions to be age-appropriate and not interfere with education, health, or well-being.
Forced Labour
We strictly prohibit any form of forced or compulsory labour, including practices such as:
- Restricting a worker’s freedom to leave employment
- Withholding wages or identity documents
- Charging recruitment fees
- Threats, coercion, or intimidation
Supply Chain Expectations
We expect our suppliers, contractors, and business partners to uphold the same standards. This includes complying with all applicable labour laws and maintaining practices that prohibit forced and child labour.
Where appropriate, MetCredit may take reasonable steps to assess and address labour-related risks within its supply chain.
Reporting Concerns
Anyone who becomes aware of potential forced or child labour related to MetCredit’s business is encouraged to raise concerns. Reports can be made to MetCredit management or through established reporting channels. Retaliation against individuals who raise concerns in good faith is not tolerated.
Ongoing Commitment
MetCredit is committed to continuous improvement and will review its practices as needed to support ethical business conduct and responsible supply chain management.
